Key Stages Checklist

Before Take Off

  1. Auxiliary fuel pump on low; tanks on MAIN
  2. Transponder to ALT

After Take Off

  1. Positive rate of climb – touch brakes, gear up
  2. 500’ – Auxiliary pumps off – one at a time
  3. Climb out 24”, 2450 RPM

Before Landing

  1. Fuel selectors on main and their own engine
  2. Mixture full forward
  3. Turn on auxiliary fuel pumps
  4. Check induction air is COLD
  5. Below 140 KIAS lower flaps to 15 degrees
  6. Below 122 KIAS lower landing gear (check for green)
  7. Propellor pitch full forward (2625 RPM)
  8. Below 122 KIAS lower flaps from 15 to 45 degrees

Base

  1. Pitch – full fine
  2. Gear DOWN
  3. Fuel pump on low; tanks on MAIN
  4. Flaps set

After Landing

  1. Retract flaps
  2. Turn off auxiliary fuel pumps
  3. Transponder to STBY
